"Electronics, science and engineering have always been my hobbies. After graduating from college I turned those hobbies into my livelihood. But, although I have worked on many very complex systems, I still get a kick out of building a simple circuit and seeing it work. I guess there will always a kid in me that receives satisfaction from some well designed circuit that serves a specific purpose. During a career that has spanned some 30 years I have had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of technical areas. I now would like to pass on some of what I have learned to a new generation." Dave Johnson, P.E.

  • Hobby Circuits (now on www.discovercircuits.com) is a collection of  electronic circuits I think you will find interesting.  I am reviewing my collection, of  thousands of circuits.  I will continue to add some of the best in my collection and will also add some of  my circuits that have been published in various magazines.  Let me know if you find any of these useful.

  • Electric Field Disturbance Monitor is based on research I did some 25 years ago on human motion detection.  It is as useful today as it was 25 years ago. I'm amazed that no one has turned this phenomenon into a marketable product. I have modernized some of the original schematics to take advantage of some new circuits that didn't exit then. The text was originally written for a magazine article I decided not to publish.  Included in this section are circuit schematics, descriptions and material lists.

  • Construction Projects section has more than ninety construction projects that I have been collecting for many years. Some I have actually built, others never made it beyond the conceptual stage and would therefore require some experimentation to finalize a design. All would require some additional work in the areas of documentation and packaging.  Like a lot of people, I find it much easier to dream up the ideas than to find the time to design them.  So, if you see something you like, let me know.  Maybe if enough people express an interest, I will design it.
